Sr. Ann Mahany and Sr. Patricia Hackett are the developers of The Franciscan Project, a non-profit ecumenical organization. The project was founded in Detroit in May of 1997 to be a non-violent Gospel Presence in the neighborhood with the hope of empowering people to recognize their strengths and develop faith based alternatives.
In the Spirit of St. Francis of Assisi, solidarity with the poor and the promotion of ecologically safe practices are constituents of our ministry.
Martha/Mary Ministry
The Martha/Mary Contemplative Outreach Ministry will be made available to women of all ages in the near future. The purpose of this ministry is to create a space for women and others who feel the need for solitude in their lives and have a desire to explore and nurture the Mystery of God within.
